Birchwood Dental was founded in September 2005 by Dr. Daniel Carlson. The office is located in the Birchwood Office Condo Complex in Eagan, Minnesota.
In October 2020, due to unforeseen circumstances with the COVID 19 pandemic and other business concerns, Birchwood Dental of Minneapolis was permanently closed. Dr. Dan and Dr. John Evenson, partners in the Minneapolis practice, have personally selected Drs. Cole Brenny and Bradford Morse of the Ivory Dental Group, located on the fifth floor of the Medical Arts Building, to continue caring for our Minneapolis patients. be the custodian of all of our Minneapolis patient records, please contact them for further assistance.

Dr. Daniel Carlson
Dr. Carlson received his BA from the University of St. Thomas in 1993 - where he also excelled on the basketball court playing varsity basketball for the Tommies. In 1998 he received his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Carlson has been practicing locally for over 20 years and has been voted one of Mpls-St. Paul Magazines “top dentists” for the last 15 years. You can find Dr. Dan in our Eagan location Tuesday through Friday.
In his free time, Dr. Dan and his family are heavily involved in the Eagan communities youth traveling basketball and soccer programs.
Dr. John Evenson
Dr. Evenson received his BA from Luther College in 1993. In 1998 he received his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Evenson has been practicing in Houston, Minnesota for over 20 years.

Dr. Alex Micek
Dr. Micek received his BS in Biochemistry, magna cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas, after which he worked at 3M in the Drug Delivery Systems Division. Dr. Micek graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2012 and has been practicing in the Twin Cities since.
Dr. Micek can be seen in our Eagan location every Monday through Wednesday and Friday.
